From what I've read on the most reliable website of all time, Wikipedia. He was pulled for a potential anti-doping violation.

Did they ever tell us what the banned substance was? And if not, why didn't they? Because they told us what Anderson Silva tested positive for...

Update: LOL I already knew it was estrogen blockers, just trying to get everyon to point the obvious that he "probably" (quotations and wording for the sake of not being censored and punished by sherdog) was on steroids and "probably" still is on it.

"Letrozole is a powerful Aromatase Inhibitor that was developed to fight breast cancer. For athletes and bodybuilders, it is a drug used to combat the estrogenic side effects of anabolic steroids water-retention, acne and gynocomastia. It will also raise testosterone levels because of the lowered estrogen in the body. Side effects from Letrozole include a lowered sex drive and continuous use can lead to lowered lipid function and an impaired immune system."

"Clomid was one of the original drugs used in post-cycle-therapy to stave off gynocomastia and raise the body’s natural testosterone levels. There are some side effects involved with heavy prolonged use, such as vision problems, and there are more effective substances on the market that do the same thing, but Clomid is still an effective and inexpensive compound for any athlete’s post-cycle-therapy."

From this information it's pretty obvious that Jones was using steroids.

Letrozole, power estrogen blocker. It floors the hormone so low you can barely get out of bed, even at very small doses.

As in, there's no way he didn't know what he was doing.

you can literally copy/pasta your question to google.

its 2017 and people still don't know how to internet

Wow, I didn't know he popped for clomid, too. That is undeniably steroids then... Jesus John.

I think the summary was that the drug (an anti-estrogen, usually used by testosterone users) was found in one of his supplements (that was his excuse for why it was in his blood). He was still sanctioned because he should have known it was in there. Of course, there is a lot more to this story but I think that's the summary.

Stop making idiotic threads and clogging the board with your laziness/ignorance.

they were in generic cialis pills he took. He was still sanctioned because he was taking the pills recreatonally (he didn't need them), didn't disclose them on his sample forms, and did no due diligence on their source before accepting them from a friend and using them. basically, he was punished for gross negligence of his duties with respect to the testing program.
