Why Kevin Lee is ranked higher than Justin Gaethje?

18-0>16-2

Michael Johnson>Michael Chiesa

Not getting beat>getting starched by a guy that you were a 6.5 to 1 favorite over

Kevin may be better but there isn't really a debate that he should be ranked higher than Justin at this point in time.
 
Kevin Lee beat better competition.


Trinaldo and Chiesa are better than anyone Gaethjes beat so far.
 
No one can explain UFC rankings, but don't worry; they mean nothing.
 
The rankings I saw had Gaethje higher. I suppose some ranking systems give more credibility to the UFC and Lee has fought there longer.

Lee has also been beat by worst competition since Justin doesn't have a loss and Michael is better than Chiesa and Trinaldo. Poirer, Edson, Tibau (beat trinaldo) and Tony Ferguson are better than the combined resumes of Chiesa and Trinaldo

Based on what? Kevin's wrestling? Kevin is s division 2 national qualifier while Justin is a division 1 all American at 157 lbs
 
Lee dresses funny and talks a lot of smack. That alone boosts you up in the ranks.
