We have an interim champion getting knee surgery.

We have a Mousasi saying fuck the UFC.

We have a Yoel that is over 40 and lost the interim title match a few weeks ago.

We have a Rockhold, and I'm not sure who the dude is he is fighting next.

We have a Weidman who just beat a super welterweight (175) after clinging to his leg to save his life at the end of round 1.

We have a Jacare that is... well Jacare.

We have a GOAT in Silva in his twilight, that will still go the distance with any champion but his flawless technical ability has far passed him.

Belfort.... just no.

So what now?

Whittaker gets promoted to champion and when he comes back from his surgery he can face the one who gets more atention between these guys.

Weidman vs Rockhold 2 could give us a potential challenger to Whittaker. If Weidman wins he can chalk up the first fight to the spinning shit. People are willing to love him if he wins, you can already see his following, he wins another one and it goes really well(back to form ready to be champion again).

Jacare vs Brunson gives Jacare a good chance to bounce back against a good opponent who's a step down from the top.

If Rockhold doesn't get a TS after the Weidman fight he could fight Romero.

Anderson vs Belfort is the fight to make for both of them.(No for titleshot though)

So long as they actually scrap the GSP Bisping fight, that no one wants, it'll all be sorted by the end of the year hopefully. Whittaker beats Bisping and then defends like an actual champ. Rockhold is fighting David branch next.

Well Moose would have probably stayed in the UFC if Yoel/Bisping happened earlier in the year like it was scheduled to because he would have more than likely got a title shot, and things would be much clearer then it is now is my point.
