A lot of these guys are losing and have not looked good in the cage.

Despite being primarily a striking based gym, they've got guys who have been getting outstruck and a lot of them suck at grappling.

I'm not talking about Kamaru or a small handful of others, but from memory I can remember a lot of them losing or looking terrible.

- Rumble can't seem to defend a RNC ever.
- Michael Chandler just lost his belt.
- LaFlare ran face first into a KO
- Bermudez can't seem to scale back his aggression and gets outstruck and grappled by Elkins.
- Michael Johnson doesn't EVER improve his BJJ skills
- Rashad gets outstruck by old man Kelly
- Gilbert Burns can't seem to put it together and just got schooled by Prazeres standing.
- Chas Skelly just got destroyed by Jason Knight.
- Sean Soriano who showed a lot of promise can't even get a W.
- Mitrione seems to get dropped in every fight.

Now I'm worried for Robbie Lawler I hope he's able to keep winning but I don't like his chances with this new team.

Let's also see what Luke Rockhold will look like after this layoff and his training with this team. Oezdemir has been looking good too let's see how he looks against Jimi.

The jury is OUT imo on Hooft/Blackzilian trained fighters.

Rumble is Rumble

Chandler lost due to injury

Is Bermudez even with Hooft?

Has MJ lost via subs multiple times?

Rashad is old as fuck

Is Burns a Combat Club guy?

Is Meathead a CC guy?

I follow Hooft's instagram and yes to all of those questions.

A lot of them spar really hard too..

Chandler lost via freak injury. He took a step and his ankle exploded.

Stopped reading after that

How do you explain the rest? You found one example.

Doesn't change the fact that he lost. He got kicked low in the ankle and he stepped into a range that he didn't know he could get kicked at.

That's a legit loss no matter how you wanna look at it.

Don't make excuses, these are the results.

No he stepped back to plant and turned his ankle. That was a freak injury.

Those other guys just cross train there or actual team members?

Rumble's stand up is great
Chandler fluke
LaFlare and Bermudez training together, I think they are partly connected with Henri
MJ rocked Justin twice, but got caught and swarmed
Rashad lost his speed and everything due to age
Chas Skelly is a grappler
Mitrione is a HW. HW fight is 50/50 in most cases

I actually finished reading so I can poke other holes

Meathead head is/was trained by Duke Rufus for like 90% of his MMA career.

Evans looked horribly drained at 185. How could you not see the correlation between weight cut and poor performance? Dan Kelly outworked him and won a hard practice session.

MJ usually has the wrestling advantage in his fights.

Even though Rumble loses via RNC he usually has the wrestling advantage in his fights. He fended off Phil Davis easily and out wrestled DC for a round.

I would be scared to go back to Hooft between rounds

Kill or be killed in the 1st or be verbally killed between rounds
Your choice
DONT QUIT

I agree with all the others but that was just a FLUKE.

And Hooft is the most overrated coach ever. Blackzillians had a lot of talent but an awful record.

Hooft is dreadfully overrrated, decent striking coach but can't gameplan worth shit.

They all break. I think I made a thread or post about this.

Henri Hooft fighters are just mentally weak and breakable.

Henri Hooft turned Rumble into a stand-up killing machine, knocking out top lhws left and right, or beating them in stand-up striking, including top strikers in the division such as Gus, Teixera, Cormier, Lil Nog and countless other top 10 lhws.

Not sure why some of you guys are putting him down. He was the best striking coach at Blackzillian.

Roberts, Oezdemir and Vassell all won their latest fights. All gyms have ups and downs.

Cmon you give him far too much credit, Rumble is a physical speciman, not too hard to get results with him IMO

The jury is OUT imo on Hooft/Blackzilian trained fighters.

Gyms that push aggressive striking often end up with fighters who get knocked out a lot. Chute Boxe had that problem

Greg Jackson's points fighting may be dull to watch.

But his fighters win championships, and they tend to absorb less damage.

WTF
If you are a mma fan, you need to show some love to H. Hooft.
Gameplan/fights are always exciting.

If you don't like him, go watch some boring Greg Jackson.
