Think about it!

Mousassi is gone, Whitaker is out until 2018, Jacare, Rockhold and Romero are all coming off losses. Suddenly Weidman is back in the title picture if Bisping is fighting before the end of the year.

MMA sure changes fast. Moose should be kicking himself for leaving.

id rather give romero ts even while comming off loss than weidman

Yoel should fight for the title and Weidman/Jacare should fight for next in line after Whittaker.

Under very few circumstances does the champion defend his title against a contender when an interim champion has already been named.

Only case I can think of is Couture/Lesnar.

And even if Whittaker gets skipped in line it makes sense for Romero or Rockhold to bypass him rather than Weidman.

The belt is in desperate need of being defended and Weidman is the best available option, with the MSG card looming and Bisping wanting a big fight. It's happening IMO.

I still think Chris should move up to 205. He cuts so much weight for this division. His wrestling would be a force at 205. Would love to see him rag doll Shogun

this was just made, they could easily just scratch it and make the rematch
Once the contract is signed, the contract is signed brotha.

Only chance it happens is if Branch gets injured and Weidman steps up.

He was smaller than Rockhold, Romero and Mousasi.

I forgot about the MSG card - that's another factor in his favour. Ideally he'd beat another top 10 contender first to put some more air under it, but Bisping's a very winnable fight for Weidman, imo.

sure, if you believe that

Lol what? Rockhold is bigger but that's it. Romero is all muscle & moose also fights 205. Chris is 6'2 and walks around at like 215-220. He's thin. If he puts mass back on he would be a beast

No fuck Weidman first win in 2 years and you peice shits want to guve him a TS?

Wtf Bisping needed a winning streak then needed to finish a Contender to get a shot.

And finally he got his shot off of injuries.
Let Chris get 2-3 more wins then face off against another top Contender to get his shot.

Fuck all you Cunts who call Bisping a Duck when all he wants is for Contenders to go through the same fucking process he was subjected to over and over again by the UFC.

Fucking retarded and ludicrous Whineman asking for a shot after that fight.

Who deserves, or is available for a title shot than you idiot? You'd rather give it to a guy coming off a loss? Make Bisping wait till 2018 to fight Whittaker?

It's all about circumstances atm and Weidman has set himself up in a good position believe it or not.
