The first fight he had remote success when he used his jab . But idk if it was frustration or fatigue that led him to just spam hooks and upper cuts . The key to beating jones is good boxing. We seen with Gus who was able to tag him on many occasions . The feints will help
Him keep jones honest and limit his creativity . The jones hands out eye poke defense would get him punished if he is dealing with someone who has high level boxing . D.C. Has the take down defense to keep it standing . He needs to give up on the clinch
 
Don't know man... Jones arms are way longer.. and so are Gus' arms... the comparison with Gus is off here imo.

No only thing dc needs is better gas tank to do what he did that first round for at least 4 rounds.
 
What mma fighter consistently establishes and uses a jab? Not very many. Daniel doesn't have the size or reach to do that.
 
Luckily jabs and feints have been invented since the first fight, Jones will be so befuddled!

There's DC, standing 10ft away from Jones, outside of kneecap kicking distance, jabbin' and feintin' away.
 
No it's not all he needs to do
But it'd help, because TS is right, DC was having success at range from jabs and Jones has never been the best boxer

But where DC lost the fight was the clinch, Jon Jones figured out his tactic, nullified it, leaned on him started kneeing him to the body (helpful because he was working the body from distance anyway) and eventually gassed him out or as Jon Jones said "became the real king of the grind"

DC needs to not be more diverse in his clinch attack and he has a path to victory
 
no, the only way for DC to win is to hulk smash jones in to oblivion.
 
At DC place i would just spam those haymaykers, avoid clinch, and be at close distance. Keep tight defense and he will be good.

I think you meant all Jones has to do is jab, right?
 
DC needs to kick Jones legs early and often. Throw a 1-2 and then end it with a low kick. DC should have a good enough TDD to stop the TDs while he is fresh. Easier said than done but that might be his only way.

No fucking way he is landing a jab on Jones.

Jones is much more of a kicker than DC is.
