Title clarification: "CHIESA WAS SCREWED AS IN HE WAS DONE AND COULDNT DEFEND HIMSELF"
If we all unanimously agree that Chiesa was locked in deep, fading away (frame by frame images show Chiesa was actually on his way to sleep).
Why is Yamasaki still getting flack. He stopped a guy from going fully unconscious when it was clear that he no longer could defend himself.
People are acting like there is a rule saying "Hey, if a guy is getting hit repeatedly without defending himself..stop the fight. BUT if he's in a choke, it's ok let him go to sleep or wait for a tap"
Newsflash, that rule doesn't exist. Chiesa displayed that he no longer showed any signs of escaping a compromising position that would remove him from his consciousness. This whole "Sleep or let him tap" debate is completely retarded since it holds no ground. It's just an unofficial made up rule by the MMA community.
Point is, Mario shouldn't be getting shitted on for stopping a fight in which a guy no longer could defend himself. The fact that chokes aren't dangerous to long term health is not an argument for letting the fight go on longer. Chiesa again, showed that he was no longer in the fight.
This is some great RNC defence right here
