BJM letting everyone know....

which backs up what you and many have been saying all night is retarded.

The fight should not have been stopped at that moment.

Can't wait for the rematch. Chiesa had nothing for Lee and got saved by the graces of Yamasaki.

unless you're trying to sacrifice a soul to the GOD of <{JustBleed}> it was indeed the right call.

BJM is very clear that it wasn't the right call at all. That Kevin would have won anyway is irrelevant. Mario still f-ed up.

He followed up

him not giving a clear cut answer along with bi-polar tells you the master of hands of heart did indeed make the right call. BJM is telling all of us he would had stopped that shit in a heartbeat

Reading is fundamental.

Was it stopped early? In hindsight yes, because Chiesa was not unconscious and he did not tap.

Was in a big fuck up? No. Chiesa was 1-2 seconds away from tapping or going unconscious, so it in no way changed the outcome of the bout.

Does it signify incompetence on Yamasaki's part? No, Chiesa looked like he was unconscious. He had the same 1000-yard stare and trembling limbs that we've seen over and over when someone gets choked out.

The whole thing is a non-issue.

Kind of agree. Mario fucked up imo

I have no interest in double checking, but hasn't Chiesa complained about something in every fight since ever?

It looked like he was about to tap...either way I'm fine with the call. Lee should not give him the rematch. People complain that this is the worst call ever. Herb Dean stopping Faber/Barao when Faber was giving thumbs up was worse imo.

It's more like BJM indicating he's fine with the outcome. It may not have been the right call, but like BJM is always preaching "fighter safety" first.
Besides he's right, refs have to make calls in split second situations, and Chiesa made a tap out gesture, although it wasn't the real one, it fooled a lot of people.

If you don't want the fight to be stopped, don't stop defending and get glassy-eyed like a damned corpse.
