Ireland is the home of the leprechaun for a reason..

The majority of most ethnicities are FWLW except...

the majority of Samoans are HW

the majority of African-Americans are LHW

the majority of Thais are AW

:D

Average height 5 ft 10, so yep. Other sports don't draft as much there as US major sports, so the bigger guys are more available, but there just haven't been many. Just Pendred comes to mind. If you look at SBG it's easier to spar when you're close to the same size. Prospects notice that when looking for a gym.

The majority of all nationalities is around that weight.

Majority of people are below lightweight after a weight cut, period. Samoans and Dutch people aren't.

Clones Colossus will tell you otherwise.

You might want to take a look at the Irish rugby team just to debunk this nonsense.

The majority of Irish people are drunk.

Its largely historic, if you look at Irish combat sports over the last 100 years they always excelled at the lower weight classes. Barry mcGuigan, Wayne McCullough, MCAuley, Dempsey, all fought at lower weights. Steve Collins really about the only successful big fighter.

For the smaller athletes in ireland, combat sports has always been an avenue, the bigger lads go into hurling, shinty, rugby. If you are anything above middleweight you go into hurling or rugby
