You obviously haven't seen the video because that was not what happened at all. Glover was wincing and Goddard announced to him he wouldn't have time to recover.

It's right there in the provided vid. If you're not OK to continue and need the allotted 5 min, you, not the referee, YOU need to say something. It's your health after all.

It's no reason to put your health in jeopardy. Take the L and appeal later. Refs make mistakes too.

People underestimate how much a foul, intentional or not can shift a fight. They need to change the gloves.
Gus and Jones are good and could very well win fights without them but it always adds a little question mark. Momentum in Jones vs DC definitely shifted after the eye poke and I've seen many fights shift after a bad groin strike too.
