Mine was a VHS, UFC 4 with Severn getting triangle choked by Gracie after about 10 minutes on top of Royce. Jim Brown, Jeff Blatnic and Don the Dragon Wilson were commentating if I remember correctly.
VHS rental at All Top Video as a kid (IDK 9-11) thought it was cool because cmon real fights. Forgot about it for years then when I was like 15 my mom got illegal satellite and while Fwapping to the SPICE Channel and flipping through PPV channels I saw Big BAD CABBAGE!!!! fighting Big TIm. I was rooting for Cabbage because I thought he was a bad ass with his hair and zero fuck attitude while I thought Big Tim was a goofy loser. I knew that at 15, I was given god tier MMA knowledge. Come at me (Not really tho because Cabbage got his ass kicked bad).
I saw UFC 5 live on PPV as my dad and his best friend had it on and I just came in and had a look. Dan Severn cleaning house and winning the tournament that night, also Jon Hess showing the best striking skills ever seen and that double knee drop
VHS is so sweet...if the Internet goes out...I got a copy of Chunky Cheerleaders in an atomic bunker to restore humanity back to its pinnacle when technology fails.

UFC 8 on VHS. I assumed that Gary Goodridge was a top tier fighter. Those elbows were stomach turning. I saw the look on my dad's face, but hell we already paid for the rental
