The GDR statement and current situation sums up today's UFC perfectly. Champs don't want to fight as they want the luxuries that comes with the champion moniker. Speaking engagements, sponsors, ppv points etc all hinge on this and why they want to hand pick and choose. As crude and rough as it sounds the UFC has to strip title, set matches accordingly or cut fighters. It's such a mess since this sale and its gonna get worse. Bellator is slowly reaping the rewards. As much as the UFC doesn't want it, a fighter union might be the best thing for both parties to get some structure because right now it's a shit show
