Machida in my opinion had much better takedown defense than Bisping, especially in his prime. As for Whittaker? He's still young and his takedown defense hasn't been tested nearly as much, but it looks very good.

From memory I'm sure it's Machida, considering some of the elite wrestlers that he's fought and neutralised. The TDD stats probably favour Whittaker though because he hasn't fought many elite wrestlers as of yet.

The answer is Machida, who in his prime had S-Tier TDD.

Bisping could get taken down by a crack in the sidewalk.

TDD is overrated for a striker. It's the ability to survive off your back without much damage that's key. Machida wasn't great in that department. Bisping has always been out cold before it ever got there in most of his big fights, and with Whittaker, we just don't know yet.

All that piss-guzzling has slowed him down drastically
