That's like saying TJ was having trouble with Joe Soto. Lol
Well being they trained together, he had a bit of knowledge in regards to Soto. Which training with Elliott and Joe B currently, should help in his potential fight with MM.
Not a fan of TJ, but he prob stops MM at 125 by tko or MM wins by dec. At 135, he prob ko's MM or wins by dec. I think it's a win win situation for TJ, in that if he wins, he becomes 125 champ and I doubt anybody is touching him in that division currently, plus i doubt he fights Joe B or Tim, and him being champ, really adds to the storyline when he does fight Cody.. As Cody has said he wants to win the 125lb belt too. It also adds a possible rematch with Dodson at 125, and the Pettis/Moreno winner vs TJ could be interesting for a title fight against TJ.. Plus Sandoval vs TJ is a TAM vs TJ fight in a year, if TJ stays at 125 and Sandoval (wish they did Sandoval vs Cejudo in Mexico) keeps winning. If takes the L vs MM, at worst he has to fight Dom again before he fights Cody, but could go right back to a title fight against Cody even with a loss to MM. It is also a possible win situation for MM, in that if he wins, he passes Anderson's win record and does by beating an ex champ from a higher weight class.. the weight class where he earned his last loss. Plus, it could be considered his hardest opponent thus far at 125 and help to solidify he p4p claim, as TJ was once on that p4p list not too long ago. Also, in theory, if he beats TJ and wants to try the 135 title, he could jump TJ and Dom and fight Cody next.. Or it could also be easier to setup a rematch with Dom at 135, as he might feel the want to compete against Dom again after beating a 135 ex champ who had a close, but losing fight, to Dom not long ago. If he can beat TJ in a dominant way, finish Cody and Dom, my wish would be he retires fighting Edgar at 135 or even 145 if possible.
