WME-UFC desperate for attention - will never cut Cyborg

UFC's attempt at being family friendly entertainment and an ethical sport has failed. USADA testing and other ethical initiatives have not gained them anything on the bottom line. Their two biggest stars; Conor and Ronda are gone. All PPVs so far have fallen flat. Fighters are unhappy and many popular ones are suspended for various "offences". The UFC (WME) needs all the attention and focus on their product that they can get and they now that Cyborg will now draw more viewers than before. She won't be cut for business reasons. IMO she shouldn't be cut for moral reasons either. When a victim of long lasting and nasty bullying smacks the bully in the face - there should be applause and not condemnation.

With commissions getting increasingly more concerned with severe dehydration, she won't be able to even make 145 in the future. At Rizin she won't have to diet and dehydrate ever again thus can fight as often as they can find opponents.

Good point. She is probably better off outside UFC, but the UFC needs any fighter that draws PPVs and she is marketable (not for her looks though).

How bout NO. Just because someone SAYS something it doesn't give you the right to assault them...period. I like cyborg but it was stupid and immature. People seem to think this is somehow OK because they're both fighters...it isn't. She's lucky this happened after she became a naturalized citizen.

A fighter only draws PPVs if they get fights, though. If Cyborg gets 0 fights, she and the UFC make $0. That's the issue and I don't see it getting resolved. She may be marketable but the UFC can't force anyone to fight her.

Mma peaked and die with dana's golden flock. I will admit Mac is the real deal but he got plenty of exclusive ufc jock stoking.

The ufc gave up on mma and decide for commercial and now we have entitled lazy, division ducking, contender ducking, tap ducking, non defending champions, unskilled reebok athlethes.

Mma and pride will continue, UFC and mainstream influence can die.
