How about we make a trade: Weidman to 205, Shogun to 185?

Shogun has shown and said repeatedly that he has no interest in 185.
 
Nah Shogun is well on his way to a LHW championship, no good in derailing it.
 
A few years ago yeah, but I think the way he fights now 205 is fine. He would probably have more difficulty with the faster fighters at 185.

Plus his weight when he's out of camp.. he gets pretty round.
 
Weidman getting into the cage at 203lbs would be suicide at LHW.
 
The ship has sailed on Shogun, bruh
 
I think they are both in their proper weight classes tbh.

Can't see how a change would benefit either fighter here.

The UFC has just done that good a job at thinning out LHW, that Shogun is a win or two from justifying a title shot.
 
Great idea, really the only option for both(neither are doing anything big in their divisions anymore). Doubt Shogun will ever make the cut tho. Shogun vs Uriah hall would be a good fight.

One doesn't want the burden to stay always fit and cut that weight and the other doesn't have the knees to stay healthy at 205.

Weird enough,you can interchange the fighter name in both situations and the result in this case would be almost the same.
 
Shogun is a warrior who is not afraid of fighting guys his own size or gasp: bigger.

Weidman would flee to South America never to be heard from again if he had to go up to 205.
