Why does Ryan Hall only fight once a year?

Boring as shit, could care less if he fights no times a year.
 
His first fight being held up was not his fault.

From wikipedia:

Hall was expected to face Alex White on July 13, 2016 at UFC Fight Night 91.[27] However, the bout was scrapped on June 28 as White pulled out due to an undisclosed injury. In turn, Hall elected to fight on a different date rather than have the promotion find him a replacement.[28]

My guess is that the UFC isn't offering him much of interest ($$$ and opponents) and Hall is declining the table scraps. Hall is not a fan favorite and he is such an elite grappler there is always a chance he can beat one of the UFC's more fan friendly fighters and mess things up for the UFC. The UFC has shown that this is not an elimination tournament to determine the best fighters at each weight class. This is a fight circus designed to generate the maximum amount of revenue.

Yeah, he only loses to the best of the best, like Saul rogers.
Plus, he's only 32, so he's only a little bit past his prime, physically.

He won the season that had David Teymur on it, who beat Lando Vannata, who took Tony Ferguson into deep waters. Ryan Hall could possible beat Tony Ferguson
 
who cares about a 32 yo fighter with a record of 6-1 that is looking for a leg lock all the time...

I never said he's gonna be a superstar ya sarcastic fuck. His grappling is pretty amazing though.

tbf rogers was huge compared to him, and outmuscled hall. 32 isn't necessarily past his physical prime, it differs form person to person
 
Because the real star from that TUF season is headlining events already.
 
I wasnt going apeshit during the Gray fight like anyone else but I like Hall

Super scary what he can do for a dude that looks like an accountant
