depends on what you're there for, if it's just the spirit of competition you might prefer to make it to the UFC where the level of competition is simply deeper. If you're in it to get paid(You should have practiced throwing a football more) it comes down whomever will pay you more.

Don't know how the pay compares, but being a pretty consistent top 10 for years also means you're losing more and taking more damage.

Cerrone making lots of money. Surprised he wins so dam much considering his competition is always known.
 
If Askren moves to the UFC on a big contract then that's the best route to take. It's easier to make a name for yourself outside of the UFC, like Diaz, Alvarez, Melendez, Cro Crop, Fedor etc. and then come in at the high end with a big name and a load of fans, than it is to work your way up through tough competition.
 
Whatever makes the most money. In this case it's probably Donald Cerrone.
