oakland is much improved. parts of it are shitholes but you aint a real city unless you have some shitty parts. that is the nature of a city.

and oakland is an integral part of the larger bay area which is the most vibrant economic hub the US has right now. the san fran oakland area and san jose area are an economic powerhouse. the east bay, which oakland is the largest city, has over 4 million people. it is a terrible economic move to move to vegas other than subsidies and tax rebates.

most owners didnt like the economics but were forced to vote for it as oakland would not subsidize like the owners want and mark davis is one of the poorest owners.

Why was the Davis family so poor when the Raiders are one of Football's most storied franchises? Seems like they should have been making a killing over the years in marketing and merchandise sales.
