In view of the amount of money the fighters earn from their UFC contract and the generous Reebok sponsorship, I suppose quite a few fighters on the roster have jobs besides being a professional mixed martial artist.

According to Wikipedia, Stipe Miocic is still working as a firefighter and paramedic, but I assume that he devotes only a few hours per week to these jobs. Or does it for charity reasons.

Here is a pic of Stipe, the paramedic, in action: he and a colleague are saving the life of an unconscious person.

Do you know what other fighters do besides cagefighting? Are there more examples, besides Stipe, of well-known fighters that are still active outside the ring?

I'm curious.

There's Nate Diaz, who coaches kids jiu-jitsu on Sunday mornings, and goes on bike rides with the elderly.

Jokes aside, man, how fucking awesome is it that the baddest man on the planet is also a firefighter and a paramedic?

I am pretty sure you are lying and Stipe is actually very evil, he is not trying to help that man i the picture, he actually knocked him out cold for no reason

Most of the UFC roster are homeless i hear, with nothing but Reebok apparel to keep them warm at night.

It's absolutely disgraceful that professional athletes need side jobs given the amount of money in the UFC. I heard some are even working in fast food. A lot lower level fighters are coaching as well to either cover gym fees or some side cash.

Its no joke. Nate does train kids and had to do seminars to make ends meet before he fought Conor.

Let's not forget the animal balloons.

War machine is a war machine.

Shane Carwin is an Engineer.

While he was fighting in the UFC too.

I think the vast majority of UFC fighters pretends to live only from fights and doing some seminars sporadicaly.
If you got to minor leagues, I think the majority of them has regular jobs and/or teach.

and he still takes the odd job from time to time

Duane Ludwig is a Peanut Butter Salesman as a secondary earner to his coaching career

I think it's pretty normal for a fighter to be coaching or training others since you're in the gym most of the day. It's the others that seem a bit sad like being an IT guy, nurse or graphic designer.

The natural evolution for a martial artist is to pass his knowledge to others...and using your notoriety as a fighter helps you build your business

after facing Platinum Mike Perry there is only one industry left that will employ you....

.....the fast food industry!

- Alan Jouban - starting the BK training program after being sacrificed to a resurgent Gunnar Nelson.
- Hyun Gyu Lim - cleaning tables since PMP made him kiss the canvas and his UFC career goodbye.
- Danny Roberts - serving Hot Chocolate and other beverages since PMP pulverized his eye socket.
- Jake Ellenberger - about to get splattered like roadkill by PMP and then that chef vacancy will be his.
- Albert Tumenov - still mopping floors while he waits for his Russian masters to book him for a fight.
