I thought that at first too, but then I looked closer at the opponents. Brunson has some wins over guys ranked higher than Kelly (one being Sam Alvey who Kelly lost too). The Rashad win is good, but who else do they go to above Brunson? He isn't going to get a top 5 guys and the rest of the top 10 are on win streaks, so Brunson is the best guy he can really get.

It makes sense for Kelly. I think Kelly should be ranker higher than a few people above him though.

Let's not overstate Kelly's status in the promotion. He beat 3 journeymen and a completely shot Rashad who hasn't won a fight in 3 1/2 years. I suspect Brunson wins this one.
