Floyd Mayweather Jr will not fight UFC star Conor McGregor “in a million years” and the bout would be an “an embarrassment for boxing”, according to 10-time world champion Oscar de la Hoya.

Its about what the people want. He used the words embarrassing. Those pics are embarrassing. He put his foot in his mouth.
 
If he was promoting the fight I am sure his tune would change. Ronday Rousey on the cover of boxing's best magazine is a real embarrassment for boxing but De la Hoya didn't seem to have a problem with it.
