Josh Barnett is still under contract with the UFC but he recently made his TNA debut. Conor is still under contract with the UFC, but Dana says he isn't allowed to Box Floyd as he is under contract. What's the difference between the two?

Boxing and pro wrestling are different things. Different contracts. Different situations.

Well, nothing about it is similar.

One is a forgotten legend. The other is the current cash cow.

The rest is simply the consequences.

Wrestling is fake, participating in a wrestling match is just a glorified workout but Boxing is serious and you can get hurt and Conor WOULD get hurt and put on the shelf too long and never fight or defend his belts .... nvm

Didn't Ronda have to get an approval from Dana to participate at Wrestlemania?

In that sense, it doesn't seem to be different.

A lot of fighters even have to receive approval to participate in local grappling tournaments.

One is pretty much acting, the other is a legitimate fighting sport where injuries can occur as well as conor/ufc loosing credibility if he gets toyed with.

Conor by TKO in the second.

To be fair your probably more likely to get hurt doing multiple pro wrestling matches rather than one boxing fight. The difference is that one is a sporting activity that is covered by the UFC contract and the other is entertainment, the same way the UFC can't stop Barnett or McGregor working on film/TV.

A serious sport plus a show are ok together but two serious sports not ok. Any pro sportman can go in TV show but I don't think any NBA player can go in NFL or a professional soccer team (regardless his skills) Pro wrestling is not a sport.

Dana wants money. Its not like Barnett is gonna get millions

The difference is if Conor loses a wrestling match nobody cares since it is scripted and only a couple of hundred thousends worth for Conor, but a boxing fight with Floyd is worth millions and they want their share of the cake.

Wait for WWE fanboys to tell you how choreographed wrestling is more dangerous than boxing, it's so hard on the body etc

Its because UFC dont get a cut of Conor boxing. If they can get a fat piece of that pie theyd let conor fight Infinity Gauntlet Era Thanos. Barnett is suspended from fighting for a bit,so they just dont really care.

You dont have to be a fanboy to know pro wrestling is very hard on the body, especially at the schedule they work under.

This is an amazing reference. Thank you for that.

Also 100% agreed with what you said, but I don't care about that. Wheel of Fish is life.
