Struve was 22, and thrown to the wolves in JDS back in '09. He's fought 17 times in 8 years, which is fairly consistent given his health issues. Most of his fights are fun to watch, he doesn't put on many boring showings.

It's a shame he doesn't switch up camps and trainers. If he worked diligently with a strength and conditioning coach, and utilized his reach more effectively, he'd be a beast. Wouldn't mind seeing the UFC raise the HW limit to 275 either, lol.

You remember when Struve got KO'd by Roy Nelson and Mark Hunt who were both basically a foot shorter than him? If that fight stayed standing Lewis would kill him. One of his biggest weaknesses is not using the reach advantage that he has over pretty much everyone.

I like Struve well enough, but he doesn't have the chin or the fight IQ to ever be hw champ.... Then again, Bisping is champ so who knows.
