Cancelled 5 fights in a row

Made weight easy then tried to eat and couldnt keep anything down.

Woke up sat morning and had only gained 5lbs but then told joe 4lbs was because the UFC had given him 2 IV bags on the advice of jeff novitsky and the doctor before the fight.

Joe begins to question the IV usage saying he thought it was illegal to use before the fight.

Got another 2 IV bags then decision was made to pull him.

Went to hospital and was told they may need to remove his gallbladder.

Seems he is still having problems from the time he got pulled from the ireland card and further tests need to be done on him.

well maybe stop cutting weight ?!?

How about fighters fight at their natural healthy weight and stop putting themselves through hell for a non-existent weight advantage because the other guy has done exactly the same thing anyway.

Just a thought.

IV bags are permitted with a TUE. In emergencies, no TUE is required. It sounds like he got a TUE when he talked to Novitsky.

His statement that he didn't need one because he got pulled is wrong though. It's banned in and out of competition.

The IV thing isn't a big deal like Joe is making it out to be. If they've got doctors and shit coming up to his room, it seems like they knew already he was unwell and unlikely to fight, they were trying to get him rehydrated for health reasons.

Ian is SO DONE. Cant even make a fist?

DONE.

This.

The key point is that he was vomiting chronically. That would have made oral rehydration impossible so iv rehydration would be totally appropriate.

Plus, as Joe says, doctor present so Medically administered, and Jeff N present who would have made the call to get permission

Its no issue at all, it's just blown up by Rogan having no idea whatsoever what he is talking about (and clearly has no idea why the iv ban is even in place). It scares me that there are people learning to Rogan who think he is knowledgeable about certain things

This is how you make a thread with a video. Take notes Sherbros.

Thanks for the cliffs TS.

God damn i been wanting to see McCall fight, dude might need to move up to get back in the octagon.

If hes having these problems due to weight cutting then he either goes up a division or call it a day and gets a job. It isnt worth his health.

Karma for telling SHerdog to troll his opponent.

The gallbladder stores bile. Bile emulsifies fats, and helps absorb fat and fat soluble vitamins.

In theory it's a great idea, but almost impossible to implement.

i gotta agree with Joe in the sense that weight cutting is just stupid as fuck i mean it exist in other sports but these guys take it to a new fucking level

the UFC should revamp that entire system and make a rule where you can only cut 15lbs MAX, it won't be hard to get the walk around weight of these guys and if anybody shows any sign of weight problems ie Hendricks,Lineker, Gastelum then up a division you go no questions asked

Rogan doesn't seem to understand the IV ban isn't about preventing weight cutting.
