lol no, there's college BB on playboy

You guys remember when Kalib Starnes was a thing? Yeah, neither do I.

This was obviously pre-cocaine Goldie, sounds way too uptight

Can't believe rich vs Anderson was at UFC 77... seems like it was last year

I'm just watching to see vera - tim but I remember people saying it was boring.

Sylvia/Vera was an awesome matchup. Vera was red-hot. 4-0 in the UFC (4 finishes). He had been talking about being a 2-division champion from his first UFC fight. And, he had just taken out Frank Mir in a minute (pregnant, post-motorcycle Mir). One of Sylvia's greatest wins. I'm gonna watch it again for the first time in 10 years.

my memory of that night- went to the cow palace in frisco to check out some bush league mma event- get there and the fights were canceled for some reason i cant remember- so we decide to go to hooters to watch the ufc and get some grub- while we're chillin watchin the fights, brad imes shows up. got to meet and chat with him for like half an hour- cool dude. not nearly as big in person as he looked to me on tv. made the evening into a better than average one.

I remember it being good. But, if I remember correctly, Tim did take over the fight in the clinch against the cage, so it really can't be that great.

That guy seemed like one of the coolest fighters. Very down-to-earth and kinds funny (based mostly on TUF 2). Also, he's the second greatest gogoplata-specialist of all-time in mma history. Not bad for a 300 lb monster.

I wonder how excited I was at the time for Stephan Bonnar vs Eric Schafer? lol I legit can't remember much but the main event.

You see the it now and it doesn't look so hot but i wonder if i felt that way back then.

Vera broke his right hand in the 1st rd. He was trying to reach Sylvia with elbows that won't connect. LOL!

My memory of the main card. Could be off:

Belcher was landing elbows standing, but got tagged a bunch. The elbows caused a cut stoppage.
Schafer was good for a first round burst with his BJJ, but gave up fighting back in the 2nd round.
Vera seemed legit scared in that cage and didn't do much but clinch.
Franklin got stopped at the end of round 1, but ref let it go on. Silva finished again in the 2nd.

It was also Vera coming back from a contract/management dispute with the UFC and his manager. Vera was never the same after that.
