I was checking Darren Elkins' record and saw that he has an old tKO loss to Ted Worthington, a random jobber with a 35-52 record that would make Shannon Ritch proud. Then I looked closely and Worthington actually also has wins over Michael Johnson and Abel Trujillo, both by submission. It made me think about Datsik and how the dumbest guy in MMA KFTO Andrei Arlovski and has a win by what's basically a flying headbutt.

So, can you think of other unknown dudes whose career never took off, despite beating good competition at some point?

Jose Landi-Jons - beat Matt Hughes
Luciano Azevedo - beat Jose Aldo

Clay Guida is by no means a "bad" fighter, but it's shocking to see that he's got wins over Kawajiri, Gomi, Nate Diaz, RDA, Anthony Pettis, and Josh Thompson,

Guy Mezger, his skills were legitimate....but his career was mediocre at best in such an early era of MMA, a former King of Pancrase even in his losses he performed well.

Artemij Sitenkov has a record of like 15-16 but has a win over the GOAT, Neil Seery. Oh, and some guy called Conor McGregor too.

Overeem's brother beat Randy Couture.

Bisping.
Somehow he has wins over Silva and Rockhold.
