You know how new fans now discredit a lot of accomplishments of veterans, and tend to praise contemporary fighters more, even if it's just a few dominant wins. Anderson Silva before the drug test ever happened, these kids were calling his victories against heavier Griffin and champion Franklin, as bum crushing.
Now imagine the next generation of MMA fans talking about Cain : He's lucky he beat up some WWE fatty to get a paper belt and fame. He only fought 2 guys and one of them had a desease. He got KOed in seconds by a one-dimensional striker, he got exposed by an old man and submitted means he got shit wrestling, he always gets injured means he's a too fragile for this sport and/or ducking Stipe, he doesn't talk much cause he's scared. Most shallow division(HW) in the most shallow era of MMA(WME). small record, never accomplished shit. Then comes one of you guys as an old fart with the sea level comment, and a shitstorm starts.
