Both superstar athletes that would both be number one all time in each of their sports if it weren't for ongoing injuries.

Cain would have at least 15 or more victories then he currently has if it weren't for injuries.

Griffey would have had 800+ home runs if it weren't for his injuries.

The greatness that should have been achieved but didn't is unfortunate.

Pillow fisted and bad sub defense. He'll probably have bad cardio in the future as well.

You forgot to add BREAKING.

In other news:Khabib is the Van Basten of MMA,Brett Rogers's Kobe-like exploits and as always Travis Lutter's bjj is jordanesque!

Unlike the other haterz I think that is a good comparison, but MMA fans hate Cain so they won't admit how talented he was/is and how much potential GOATness was lost.

Yea, he's fought like 3 people in 5 years.

That's irrelevant to the fact that he's been submitted one time and it was by Fabricio Werdum. If getting submitted by Fabricio Werdum means you have bad sub defense, a lot of heavyweights have bad sub defense.

I don't think Cain is the best heavyweight ever, nor do I think he ever necessarily would have been like OP suggests, but it's hard to say he has bad sub defense when the only sub loss on his record is to one of the best BJJ guys in the sport. He was also gassed and rocked when it happened, and pretty much looking for a way out of a fight he was already losing badly. His submission defense never even really came into play, he was done when he shot the takedown.

And when he's not he's gassing out getting submitted and out struck by Werdum.
That fight was at high elevation. Werdum prepared there, Cain did not and that's why he gassed. Cain would stop Steipe (however the fuck you spell his name) in the first round and same with Werdum if they rematch.

GTFO. Cain isnt close to that. If anything he is the Albert Belle minus the terrible attitude. Belle was supremely dominant for 4 seasons then injuries ended his career at 34. But those 4 years he was the best or top 3 player in the game for sure. As a whole, his career isnt hof because he didnt last long enough. You cant be jr griffey fighting 5 times in 7 years.

Still the best HW. Just can't train without getting injured.

Pillow fisted? His finishing rate is well over 80%.

Bad sub defense? Because he was subbed by a prolific BJJ player?

Brock Lesnar is the Jose Canseco of mma, while Jon Jones is the Barry Bonds. Conor is the boy george

Albert Bell was a worthless steroid using .250 batting average player and C- fielder at best (when he fielded).
