FLW, BW and LW are the closest ratio of (T)KO to Subs out of all the divisions. Lot of cool info in there

Umm. Those divisions are much younger than the others. Like more than a decade.

Most of the best fights in history are decisions. I don't get the obsession with KOs.

So the correlation states: As you move down in weight, the number of TKO's decreases (for the most part) and the number of decisions increases.

Makes sense. It's interesting to see the actual statistics behind it too. Nice post TS.

It is a percentage.
Does it really matter when they started?

Statistics are racist and sexist and size-ist. No discrimination! Everything should be equal!

and therefore nothing should exist

Most of the boring fights are also decisions

Mir vs Cro Cop, Leben vs Martin, and a ton of heavyweight fights in general have been boring and ended with a TKO or KO a couple rounds after both guys gas.

At least the KOs are fun, even in the boring fights.
The boring fights with no finish, not so fun.

I wanted to see the breakdown of uds into 30-27 vs 29-28.

But interesting none the less.

Proof that wmma is the most boring. We can expect split decisions more often than not. Its hard for judges to declare a winner after watching 2 competitors fail
