Love him or hate him, no one can question Huntington Beach Bad Boy's place in the history of the UFC and mma.
In many ways, he was teh first big, extravagant superstar--legit tough guy, wore his belt backwards (weird as shit, but whatevs), great shape, bleach blonde hair, fast cars and married a porn star.
His ground and pound in its day was second to none, and unlike many fighters in that era, he lost a fight and made the necessary adjustments to adapt and adjust.
Team Punishment gear adorned the arenas he fought in, and he really sold the team idea.
spanked shamrock three times, and has never failed to thank the fans.
Given how shitty his relationship with dayna was, he did a great job staying relevant and in the spot light.
The guy cant speak for shit at times (affliction anyone?) but there was often an air of something special accompanying most of his fights.
Win or lose tonight, the guy gave much of himself to the sport and his fans.
