Lol Conor is 28 and Floyd is near 40.

Where was Floyd at 28?

At age 28, Floyd Mayweather Jr. was 35-0 with 3 titles, 11 title defenses, and making over $4 million for fight.

Details:

Floyd was born on February 24th, 1977. Thus, his last fight before his 29th birthday was his 2005 victory over Sharmba Mitchell. It was his 35th win, 11th defense of a title in his career (he actually had 4 championships at the time, if you count the lineal), and according to Boxrec, his disclosed purse for the fight was $4.3 million dollars, which actually, adjusted for inflation, is $5.3 million dollars today, compared to Conor McGregor's disclosed $3 million for his UFC 202 fight against Nate Diaz.

Conor McGreggor is only slightly more successful than me.

What a loser.

Conor is a nobody compared to Floyd, at whatever age

I'm concerned that people try this argument without even bothering to check where Floyd actually was at that age.

How much was his total pay, estimated, and how many PPVs was he selling?

But where was Randy Couture at age 28?

He was nowhere, he did not exist.

Randy Couture was born at age 40.

Mike Tyson at age 35, but for reals. Dude was 16 in this pic

Imagine having to tell him he's grounded

Mayweather is the Michael Jordan of boxing. Conor is not even close to his level.

Floyd before 28:

Never drew past 200k buys.

Oscar MADE Floyd famous, WWE writers created Floyd's whole shtick/gimick, and then Floyd was continually marketed on his cherry picked "undefeated" record

Floyd before 28:

Had already LOST TO CASTILLO

Biggest robbery ever

You MMA newbs who ride Floyd thinking that that will make you appear more knowledgable about boxing, only expose how clueless you truly are...You dont even know who Castillo is or that that fight exists

I bet you dont even know that Floyd was nearly KOd by a high end gatekeeper in Chop Chop Corely and had a serious life and death struggle against him

Also, "title defenses" ARE a meaningless, irrelevant stat in boxing. In boxing, a champs every fight involves ALL his BELTS always on the line. Floyd could be fightihg at 147 and yet his 140 belt would be on the line. Floyd wasnt fighting actual contenders of his divisions. Its a meaningless number in boxing.

I laugh though because only MMA newbs would care about title defenses and bring it up

You EXPOSE how much of a newb YOU ARE by failing to mention how FLOYD was NOTORIOUS for cherry picking and DUCKING his actual biggest threats

At 28 years old Floyd had already DUCKED the following:

Margarito
Kosta Tyzu
Prime Oscar
Paul Williams later on

Etc etc

Floyd=boxing's biggest COWARD

Conor>>>>Floyd

Conor McGregor will never make Mayweather money. He will peak at 1.7 million buys and stabilize at 1.1-1.3 mil. There are few achievements left for him to break and he's bound to lose eventually, possibly in exposing fashion. Not to mention, the UFC owns him.

And the devil Al Haymon owns Floyd

You MMA newbs shouldnt speak about shit you know nothing about

It is irrelevant. It is what you achieve, not when you achieve, matters. Talk trash about Mayweather when you sell more than 4 million PPV

Cool, so where was Conor before the UFC then?
Mayweather fought in the olympics at the age Conor was trained to be a plumber (dropped out due to laziness and had been exploiting the Irish welfare system since then)

Total pay estimated? Boxrec reports $7.5 million total disclosed pay for the Gatti and Mitchell fights alone. Which is equal to McGregor's disclosed total for his last 4 fights (Aldo: 500k, Diaz I: 1M, Diaz II: 3M, Alvarez: 3M), and when you adjust for inflation, Mayweather's pay for those two fights alone is actually equivalent to 9.3 million dollars in 2016. Far above Conor's $7.5 for his last 4 combined.

Advice for trolling: Try to get people to look at the PPV numbers and miss all this other stuff.
