In general, when both are in fit and at the same weight class, the female will look bigger due to significantly more muscle mass and bone density for the male. And this is a WW vs BW, yet she still looks bigger. Well maybe it's b/c she has a big head.

In this case it isn't because of heels, both Megan and WB are 6'0 (they look the same height in the picture, no clue where "dwarfing" comes from) and Megan and WB are pretty close in weight (Megan allegedly walks around 170-175 and WB came in at 178 against Woodley, he's a tiny WW weight wise).

What would be an accurate explanation would be "there is overlap in size between women and men".

She looks just a little taller and a little bigger. Now consider that she fights at 145 and he fights at 170. Even if he doesn't cut a lot of weight, it's still a huge difference in weight, yet she still bigger...despite being 25 lbs lighter. And it's due to men having more muscle mass and bone density.

She's not 25 lbs lighter if she walks around 170-175 and he walks around at 180ish, the division limits don't determine the weight difference between individual fighters in them.

Claudia Gadelha walks around heavier (or used to) than some female BWs who barely/don't cut, Barao walked around heavier when he fought at BW than Edgar did at LW. Woodley walks around almost as heavy as Hendo and Machida at LHW, etc.
