Matt Serra: I Dont Feel Bad For BJ Penn, But He Doesnt Know What To Do

Penn for sure should stay retired, but Serra needs to go back to gobbling pizzas.

there's still room for BJ to fight if he gets cole miller or any low tier fighters

Serras got fookin brain damage. What an idiot, a bum talking shit about a legend, whats new?

Brain damage for what, the dude beat the GOAT in the biggest upset in UFC history, got the belt, and has multiple gyms with the top fighters under him. He's a legend himself

You sound like a hater.

Why would anybody feel bad for him?

He's a spoiled brat who had his entire fight career subsidized by his parents since the time that he was a teenager. He got to debut in the UFC. He got re-invited to the UFC with open arms after fucking over Zuffa by leaving with a belt. He also pissed away a lot of his potential by refusing to train seriously during his athletic prime.

Then there's the shitty entitled attitude that he got a total pass for from fans. Dude would never admit that he lost legitimately or give anybody respect until he was well into his thirties. This motherfucker even had his mother whine to the commission on his behalf after he got his ass handed to him by GSP.

Penn had a good run in the sport and had a lot of opportunities that other fighters would have killed for. If he doesn't know how to transition to the next phase of his life and be an adult whose lifestyle isn't centered around violence, then that's his problem.

I hate how EVERYONE has a fucking podcast now, and all say the same shit. I can only handle about 5 minutes of him babbling on.

Wow listen to the interview Serra praises BJ and says he was just fighting a young athletic freak

He doesn't bash Penn like your thread title suggests

He's not an mma legend. Very successful and savvy, but not a legend

Your definition of legend is weak, Got a lucky punch in a title fight he didn't deserve. Serras a journeyman without that lucky punch.

Serra speaking the truth here. Not sure where all the hate is coming from. It's gotta be difficult being in a profession where you're washed up in your mid-thirties. You're still a relatively young man, but too old to perform in your profession. Especially for athletes, whose identities are so intertwined with their profession.

So much butthurt that your parents weren't rich. We don't know if he is spoiled or not. Maybe he fully appreciated his good fortune and thanks his parents endlessly for them letting him pursue his dream.

He's speaking the truth but he's gonna get the hate because he's fat, short and bald which is everything Sherbros are not. We are all at least 6'2", 205lbs shredded, with flowing locks of hair and 10" penises. It's simply that we cannot take any opinion seriously that comes from the mouth of a wee manchild.

Serra says Penn/Sherk was in 2000 when in fact it was in 2008. Fucking 8 year difference! Plus the fact that BJ hadn't even started his MMA career in 2000.
Brain damage confirmed.
