So before Ronda's last two fights mostly everyone agreed that Joanna wouldnt be able to stop Ronda from throwing her on the ground. Anyone still think that? We know if Ronda gets tagged one or two times she cant recover and Joanna is good enough to land shots before being thrown. Dont think the weight difference matters much.

The size would be way too much for JJ to overcome. Not to mention she doesn't have the power to really hurt Ronda.

Pillow fists VS. Pillow face --> showdown of the ages

Ronda at 135? LOL

Over and out.

JJ doesn't punch any harder than Holly, and Ronda was able to get a hold of Holly 2 or 3 times in their fight. JJ wont have the strength Holly had to stop the takedown

JJ has 0 power.

she doesn't have the power to really hurt Ronda.

Pillow fists

JJ had lots of power at 125 lbs.

Jens Pulver was raving about her power as an announcer in this fight (Sexton vs. Jedrzejczyk, Cage Warriors 69), and praised her strikes as the most powerful of any women fighting in MMA at this weight.

The women bantamweights of the UFC never managed to KO Sexton, but Joanna did. Knocked her down several times before the KO.

It might be that Joanna has had to ease up on some of that power after breaking her hand twice, but it also might be that at a heavier weight she'd reacquire the muscle (and bone density) she had to give up to drop to 115 lbs., and return to her power striking.
