BJ never shied away from the challenge.

BJ gave us the fights we wanted.

BJ moved up and fought.

That's why BJ Penn should be higher p4p.

"I'll find anyone, anytime, anywhere" BJ Penn

"I'm actually closer to 155" GSP

Moving up in weight and losing means you are somehow the better P4P fighter?

Nah

Gsp made bj suck it

Try sounding out the words in my post.

I'm not saying GSP didn't beat BJ Penn.

I'm saying history will be kinder to BJ Penn

because he sought out challenges. GSP did not.

Not necessarily

but its hard to compare the two when

one fighter shied away from challenges

in higher weight categories.

lol GSP is better.

At the end of the day, BJ Penn will be in the same light as Randy Couture, who is nowhere near GSP.

Compare their legacies and then get back to me..

Good God lol. Absolutely not. You guys are showing why BJ Penn has the most notorious assclown fanbase ever. That is the only thing GOAT about him.

I am not meaning to disregard Penn's abilities and obvious warrior spirit, but unfortunately he was his own worse enemy, and by him losing too many fights and not being as motivated as he should hurts his legacy in my opinion. Unfortunately I myself don't base my P4P on what ifs in their careers. Kind of contradictory I know considering P4P is arbitrary anyways, but actual results and records and fights hold more sway than what they could have been or could have done.

no actually it wont.

but keep believing it, this forum wouldnt be the same without all the BJ Penn fans who disregard his faults.

Heck you guys still have a long way to go to reach the egotistical levels BJ has for himself.

i just hope you guys still have a roof over your heads, or did you bet it all on BJ like he told you to?

No it's not. When they were both in their prime, GSP handed him his ass. GSP avenged every loss (only 2).

BJ Penn is 16-11-2 and 0-3 against Edgar, a MUCH smaller man, with only one of those fights being remotely close.

GSP made a career out of fighting blown up LWs while he enjoyed having a 15+ pounds weight advantage (Serra 2X,Sherk,Penn2X).

GSP has the most overrated resume in MMA History.

Look at Yuji Nagata:
1st pro fight: Cro Cop
2nd pro fight: Fedor

Then retires

Respect's GOAT
