The general reality is that length, speed, and timing ARE decisive when fighters are fighting at distance, and that any correlation (if a correlation does exist) between those and weight is not a positive one.

Being the heavier fighter has advantages, but it depends on the fighter to make full use of those advantages.

Bigger Athletes usually do other sports that will usually make them the most money. HW has always been thin and LHW is at its weakest in years now. The lighter divisions are deeper cause the smaller guys that can't cut in football/basketball due to size but still have a lot of talent and atheltic abilty
