the people that say it watch the sport, are fans of certain fighters yet still come out with things like these guys are F level athletes. It makes no sense- why not go and watch sports which you claim are filled with A level athletes then and stop posting such shi* on the forum...

It's just the silly lil nincompoop @Hi-Tech who keeps bringing up this "A-level" bullshit.

There is no such thing as an A-Level athlete.

Yoel Romero is an A-level athlete. Most UFC fighters are C-level athletes though.

Boxing has much more A-level athletes.

The whole A level athlete thing is a myth. People are good at the sport that they do their whole lives. Just because someone is good at football or basketball doesn't mean they would ever be good at fighting.

Don't have a dogma attitude Ts. It's the truth.

Because they are retards

Over 90% of these "A level athletes" would curl up like a bitch when getting hit in the face.

UFC is filled with C-level athleticism. A-level athletes usually go to more lucrative sports, like football (it is not called soccer), boxing and formula 1. The exceptions are beasts like Yoel Romero and Khabib who were trained under state sponsored combat programs all their lives

MMA is just a sport people fall back on when they finally realise they're not going to make it in their first choice sport. Nobody dreams of being a UFC champion growing up.

Whoever says that is stuck in the past and just old school. Stupid thing to say because it's obviously not true.

How can UFC fighters be A-level athletes when many of them are actually HOBBYISTS?

The HW champ is a firefighter who participates in MMA as a HOBBY.

Comparing them to boxers or football players is ludicrous. It's like comparing Lewis Hamilton to some hobby go-kart drivers.

you can't watch both?

TBH, things have changed since the early days of ufc. It clearly has moved up to B level

Example of a true A-level football player locking in a guillotine yesterday

If he wanted he could become UFC champ within 1 year. The base is already there

wrong. Bolt, Phelps, Jordan etc

Put Bolt on a tennis court, get Phelps to run the 100m, get Jordan to do anything other than golf he's 53 ffs.

There's no such thing as an A-Level athlete.
