- Fought for the UFC BW title even being 20lbs lighter than Cruz on fight night. And gave Cruz a fight.
- Fought a guy in Tim Elliot who was MASSIVE. Out of Tim's 4 ufc losses, 3 where to Champions and former contenders....and the other one was to Makovsky who is #7 in the current UFC rankings.
- Tim Elliot also has a KO win over former UFC LW Champ Jens Pulver. MM > Elliot > Pulver > Penn > Matt hughes. MM now all time best in LW and WW.
- He only lost one round and dominated the whole fight and people complain. Why do they complain? Because people expect perfection from Mighty Mouse, and when he doesn't achieve that...it looks bad. Just like the criticism when Jon Jones dominated OSP. People just expect complete domination from the GOATS

Not Cruz, not Aldo, not jones, not Fedor, but MM is the greatest of all time. Only argument that can be made to discredit MM is his loss to the 2nd GOAT cruz. MM's close loss to Cruz would be equal to GSP having a close loss to Silva. Doesn't put Silva higher just because he beat a more accomplished little man.

Aldo - Doesn't try to finish
MM - Too small, and he lost to Cruz

Undefeated for 10 years with 31 wins and only lost one round! 24 finishes during that time 5 over former ufc champions plus the pride champion and the pride owgp winner. Also beat k1 champions elite grapplers and guys that were extremely bigger than him. Lost one round in his 7th fight, after that he won every round during that streak in dominant fashion. There was never an argument about whether he won or not. He dominated everyone his first 31 fights.

25 wins 5 over former UFC champions. Has the most top 10 wins and won in dominating fashion majority of the time. Lost 2 rounds to Hendricks and arguably one to condit. Has many decision wins. Avenged all losses.

Undefeated for 8 years with 22 wins over 5 former champions. 15 finishes and lots of dominant performances. Lost 1 round to machida and rashad, lost 2 rounds to DC and Gus. Still undefeated.

Anderson Silva
Won 17 in a row over 4 former ufc champions and the pride champion. Had success moving up to Lhw even beat a former champ and looked flawless doing it. Took lots of chances to finish but often lost rounds because of it. Dominant champion with lots of finishes.

25 wins over 4 former UFC/wec champions with 1 loss during that time. Lost one round to Florian, Edgar, and Mendes in their 2nd fight. Dominant champion with 16 finishes. Still young w potential to add to this resume

25wins with 14 finishes. Dominant champion and only lost when he came up in weight. 9 title defences and hardly loses rounds. Had a debatable fight over Ian McCall but came back and beat him decisively.


With one more title defence I would likely move MM to 5 above Aldo
 
I really have to agree. MM should be considered the best ever right now.

Anderson Silva would be 2. Fedor 3. then GSP 4. Jones 5.
