He will fight Cejudo/Benavidez winner next year first but he needs that big fight, Cruz rematch is a priority for him more so than Cruz, but he really should be trying to make something happen.
he was a top 5 135er at one time. He's not a big fly weight. Expecting him to go up in a weight is a bit ridiculous.
Definitely needs to happen, probably at catch weight to make it fair, but it's a big risk for Cruz.
Cruz won the first fight from his wrestling and size + strength advantage.
On the feet, Cruz didn't look comfortable and couldn't successfully stop or deal with MM striking attacks.
MM cardio was superior in all rounds. Cruz didn't gas but he slowed down, MM never showed any sign of slowing down.
Since that first fight MM has improved a lot, Cruz not so much, and if they fight again I would pick MM as the favorite (definitely if they fought catch-weight and definitely if MM can minimize the fight night size advantage he gave up to Cruz in the first).

Mighty Mouse is a much better wrestler now too. In his next fight after Cruz he was soundly out-wrestled by McCall (If there was more time in the 3rd he may have been stopped on the ground). I think it was between the two McCall fights where Mighty Mouse really came into his own.Definitely needs to happen, probably at catch weight to make it fair, but it's a big risk for Cruz.

Actually Mighty Mouse isn't a big Flyweight and Cruz is a Bantamweight who used to be a successful Lightweight and only lost to Faber at Featherweight. Cruz may be his last loss, but he's also legitimately larger. It would be sad for Cruz if Johnson beat him in a rematch. He's not a big fly weight. Well said my good man!Definitely needs to happen, probably at catch weight to make it fair, but it's a big risk for Cruz.
