Would a 6'4 250lbs Jose Aldo have won the K-1 World Grand Prix?

I think so, his pure kickboxing skills are insane, without the takedown threat Aldo would be able to use his full arsenal, truly a nightmare matchup for anyone not named Badr Hari

Yes, and a 6'4" 250-pound Conor McGregor would have beat Floyd Mayweather.

At that size, he wouldn't have his speed—which is what makes him so successful with his lightning-quick leg kicks.

I'd imagine he would be top-tier like Gokhan Saki, but just underneath whoever the top guy is at the time (not unlike his current situation with McGregor).

Everything's relative. It all scales up.

FW Aldo's faster than the vast majority of FWs so HW Aldo would be faster than the vast majority of HWs.

Pretty sure he's asking whether or not a 250lb Aldo (with all his intangibles) would win. And the answer is an easy yes. The UFC Flyweight with the worst skill set has a 1000x better skillset than the best heavyweight. The lighter weight classes just demand more skills. So yes a 250lb Aldo would win pretty handidly.

fixed

Andre Dida was the Brazilian version of Jose Aldo.

He almost KTFO'd Buakaw the best K-1 fighter at the time.

This is where the hypothetical gets confusing. What would a HW 6'4" Aldo's reach be? Even an inch here or there affects how he would perform against a a guy like Semmy Schilt. And if the opposite question was asked (a HW fighting at FLW), are they taking their "heavyweight power" with them? Some would argue that power comes at the expense of speed.

If this is just about skillsets, then of course the lighter weight fighter is better than a heavyweight, but there's a speed vs. power tradeoff somewhere there, and that would affect if a guy like Aldo can get past Verhoeven, Hari, Bonjaski, etc, or if he would get KTFO'd at HW.

Nah.
A huge Conor might do well, though.

A 6'4" 250 lb Demetrious Johnson would have been one of the great running backs of all time.

No. Kickboxing is not MMA striking and with few exceptions most MMA strikers cannot last in kickboxing at high levels.
