'm so confused right now. Is it skill, accomplishments, or hype that get u the money?

Everybody's "official" salaries combined from UFC 204 is 202,500 dollars.

How come Sage Northcut got 6 figures when he was where Mike Perry is at now?
Is it cause he has a karate background anda dad with connections?

I can tell you that Sage here in Texas is pretty popular. They were talking about him on the radio and I had random people asking me about him before I even knew who he was. It was during his first fight in the UFC.
 
He's a modest man, they try to offer him the big bucks but he declines every time.

You seem to confuse yourself.. Sage did not earn six figures from his Reebok Bonus. You do realize there is a huge dif between such right?
 
Dude should have gotten a performance bonus. He was like a rock-em sock-em robot.
 
Like with most dudes on this site, WME had no clue that they hit the jackpot with Platinum. Heard he's due for a renewal, that's when the real GOAT money comes in.
 
That's only how much he kept for himself...he gave the other $10m to charity...
 
He got a free trip 'overseas' too.
He probably needed to get a passport for 204 so there's that as well.

His best bet to get paid is a $50k bonus. He was a bit unlucky not to get one at 204 but his style suggests one's likely in the future.
 
he's new to the UFC but at the rate he is blessing these guys his next contract should look a lot better

I'm pretty sure he's only popular on Sherdog. I hadn't even heard of him until there were a dozen threads every day saying how awesome he supposedly was.
