Top 5 fighters in every division that has a cashcow as the champ need to PRETEND they're beatable by fighting in a way that make them look beatable ("sandbagging", "hustling"), so that the UFC / Dana White will give them the title shot against the cashcow champ.
The reasoning is very simple:
The UFC / Dana White want to keep the cashcow as champ to make money.
If the top 5 fighters are TOO GOOD (example: the top 5 of the MW division), the UFC / Dana will NOT give them the title shot against the cashcow champ.
Example:
Wiedman, Romero, Jacare, Mousasi, and Belfort, are currently the best MWs, but the UFC are NOT giving them the title shot against the cashcow champ, Bisping. Instead, they're giving the title shot to potentially GSP or Nick Diaz, fighters who aren't even MWs but Bisping has more chance of beating!
Conclusion:
Fighters in the top 5 should keep on winning, but they also need to PRETEND they're beatable by the cashcow champ of their division, so that the UFC will even consider them for the title shot.
