I didn't take it literally.

I thought he meant it in the way that it was severely depressing to have lost and sometimes it's hard to go back to normal. Probably wanted some time to mope around but as a father that wasn't possible.

I personally find Matt Brown's turn around story very encouraging

Regardless of whether he wins or loses, his career resurgence a couple years ago was very impressive

Especially with all the hard times he went through previously in life
