I just figured how a fighter might scam the new testing...

This is the plan he used, research a product that has not been pulled from the market or any product. Contaminate that product with some estrogen blockers and make sure you keep that product available in case you get caught. Do real cycling and clean your system and then if you get caught, blame it on that supplement that you contaminated! Lawyer will say, prove my client wrong? Technicalities will let him slide and that's ladies and gents how you get away in the UFC with juicing. What do you think?

Fighters are responsible for whichever product they use. If they don't test them before hand, it is still their fault if they end up using a contaminated supplement.

Doesn't usada contact the supplement supplier/manufacturer directly to get their own sample to test?

It would only really work if a fighter had enough money to pay the manufacturer to actually taint the batch they send to usada

Still going to get 6 months or 12 months for it + you do know usada will buy the product from the store or net and test a few. They don't jus text test the one you used LOL

Exactly. It's not like you hand USADA your half empty creatine container and say "test this". You give them the brand info and they go somewhere and buy it and test the un-opened supplement.

They test a whole batch, not just your sample

buy ones that are going out of business. can't test them

Except that USADA will go out and buy the product for themselves to test it, they won't use the same container the fighter used. That's what they did when Romero claimed the supplement was tainted.

So you expect a fighter to have a lab?

Yeah, but how can you prove that maybe just that one was the only one and that's what they call technicalities in the law language.

It could be only that one you bought and they can't prove that's not!

They don't have to prove anything. You are the one who failed the test, it's up to you to prove that you didn't take banned substances. And handing them an open container, claiming that it is the only one contaminated won't do it.

This.

They check random samples of the entire lot ordered from different places.

So, no, sorry. Just no.

A) They need to provide a sealed sample, not just some open container hanging around their gym. I think most of the time it's more likely they provide a batch number and USADA goes out and gets the product themselves, to protect the chain of evidence.

B) Something similar had been done by King Mo. He was caught and claimed it was from taking a specific supplement. The problem was the product was pulled from shelves like 6 months earlier and it was widely known to have been contaminated. So chances were he purchased a few containers and kept them on hand, making sure to use the same compound for his cycle.
