Was having this discussion earlier on with a few people in conversation and thought I'd post it up to see what everybody says.

Bellator have a good list of champions in Koreshkov, McGeary and Chandler, as do WSOF with Moraes, Branch, Ivanov and Fernandes

And of course ONE have Ben Askren, Shinya Aoki etc

Thoughts?

I'd personally like to see Cruz fight Fernandes or Moraes

Watch the current TUF season. It's actually really good if you're not an anti-manlet type

Chandler is an obvious choice, given he's already beat EA.

I like Koreshkov's chances against Tyron Woodley.

Moraes is world class as is Askren. Other than those guys I don't see the others on that championship contender level.

KSW's Khalidov would probably lose a five round fight vs Bisping but he would by no means get shamed.

The real question is how many of them could compete with USADA first.

Chandler, Koreshkov for sure
Chandler would be top 5 imo, I know he lost to Brooks but he looked like he's on a resurgence since dropping three in a row
Daniel Straus could be top 10 at FW, particularly if he got to fight five rounders. He'd toss Cub Swanson around, for example. Probably outwrestle Jeremy Stephens too.

Morares could make waves
Askren went from a vastly improving fighter, to a guy who smashes cans for checks. Not his fault, there's just not that much competition for him out there particularly not in One FC. He should be fighting top ten guys.

I think Askren going back to Bellator is more appealing at this point, would love to see how he would deal with this version of Koreshkov.

Koreshkov would probably be favoured over Woodley right now.

Minakov would be even with Stipe.

Chandler would be even with Eddie.

Mcgeary, Carvalho, Straus, and Dantas would be considerable dogs. Straus, Mcgeary and Dantas are all unquestionably top 10 in their division though.

Moraes could beat Dom but Bibiano would make AMC Pankration TAM 2.0
Duqesnoy is still too young but u never know kid is as talented as any prospect in MMA, and his dynamism/power/coaching could be an interesting test even this early on

Chandler obviously. Gaethje could be a banger if a fight with Eddie

Koreshkov could give Tyron some puroblems but Woodley is a tough matchup for Ben IMO, he would still chain wrestle for his life.

Akhmetov could def compete with Demetrious. Morales as well

Branch and Khalidov could def compete with Bisping. Emeev is dangerous could scare him like Dollaway did when he nearly KOd him too

Depending on how Liam does against Phil's top game I think a DC matchup could be interesting, DCs top game isn't as dangerous bas Phil's and more control

Straus matches up well with Conor TBH

Minakov VS Stipe could be interesting

Michael Chandler
Justin Gaethje(Not sure if he would beat the champ but he would put up a fight for sure)
Liam McGeary(Incredibly slick Jiu jitsu, would give DC problems if he tries to lay n pray)
