Go ahead and face it folks!

Aldo is taking his ball and going home. He will tarnish whatever poor relationship he has left with the UFC to the point of threats and sitting out, and the UFC will be happy to stick Holloway in there for a title shot with Conor if Conor ever decides to go back down. Aldo will have been out for so long that Holloway will have a much better argument any way, and fans will want that fight a lot more.

It is potentially a much better fight than the Aldo rematch in fairness. Can't see Holloway going to sleep as easily as Aldo did. It would be a massive disappointment to see that happening again if we got an Aldo rematch.

How long till people realize that he wants to be the FW champion in name only. He's done down there.

I'm not doubting that potentially. All I'm saying is "IF" he fights there again, it will be against Holloway. Aldo has never been smart and his ego always gets in his own way. He'll sulk on this for months, and Holloway will keep building momentum. Holloway in all liklihood could end up stealing the Interim belt and Conor's belt. Aldo is already ducking Holloway and trying to get Pettis. Aldo will look even worse if that fight happens instead, and Holloway will keep becoming a fan favorite. Aldo will only fight for easy match ups or a Conor pay day. Aldo has never been in it for the experience to test himself against the best. He is the definition of a fighter he fights just for money, but his moves in business for himself have always backfired, and the UFC doesn't want to deal with his difficulties especially if him and Pedneiras keep making threats and publicly trying to trash them. The UFC is good at playing that game too, and they always win.

It won't make a difference who Conor fights at 145 if he ever decides to again. He'll draw huge numbers, and they'll likely want him to have the easist style match up possible. Aldo's history and so called legacy won't mean a thing to help his negotiations.

Depends on how badly Alvarez embarrasses him. If he gets ragdolled, expect to see Skeletor McGregor back on the scale.

Holloway is a great stylistic match up for Conor, certainly much better than the punch winging muay thai strikers or wrestlers w/ an overhand. People are all about the wrestlers being able to beat Conor but you need to be able to stop or lessen Conor's strengths: boxing, reach, have great cardio and durability. Conor will hit and hurt anyone he fights, his accuracy, speed and timing is off the charts, and contrary to popular opinion, his TDD is damn good.

However, looking at that first fight, Conor was just head and shoulders better beat Holloway everywhere, with most rnds being 10-8's. Back then, that was 'Effecient Conor' who then became lost until UFC 202. If Holloway were to win, he would have to weather the early storm (ala Diaz) and overwhelm him with volume later.

1) he is never going back to featherweight
2) if he looses at 205 he will prob get an immediate rematch bc he's Connor and he is the new CEO and Matchmaker of the UFC
3) another possible scenario, he jumps up to WW and gets an immediate title shot, Dana will go on national TV and talks about how great of a guy he is and how much he "loves and respects him."
