He wants the respect that he's earned AS A FIGHTER, from the promotion he fights for. Some of us who've actually trained and competed and watch MMA before the Conor era respect Aldo for not letting them lie to his face and dick him over. He's taking a stand against the UFC selling out it's fighters and the sport of MMA in favor of the $$ aspect.
Conor is running the show, and he doesn't want to work for conor, and "beg" for a title shot he's earned. Good on him. Nothing but respect to him.

Also, you obv have no idea how PPV points work. 1.5M buys is 90M $$. half goes straight to the cable companies. that's 45M left, take out 20M at least to PPV points for Conor, Eddie, Woodley and JJ. thats 25M. take out the cost of promotion and actually putting on the event, There's ~25M left for the company. Aldo wasn't getting PPV points as interim champ on a 3 title fight card.
