Lineker vs Dodson: i´m very pumped for this. It´s gonna be fireworks! It can go both ways, but i´m picking Lineker by 1st round ko, just cause i think Dodson´s footwork won´t work and he´ll get engaged in one of those exchanges.

Belfort vs Mousasi: Mousasi knows Vitor can explode and will be extra careful on the feet and looking for the takedown.... Vitor will know it and will be ready to defend his takedowns and counter Mousasi. Vitor´s only lost to killers like Silva, Jones, Jacare, the Chris..... i just don´t think Mousasi is at that level. I got Vitor by 1st round ko too.

Saint Preux vs Manuma: strength vs technique. This fight will stay on the feet. OSP will come in very confident after he survived 5 rounds with Jones and Manuwa will be cautious early on after his ko loss to Rumble. I think this fight will go to decision. I get OSP by decision.

IMO these are good fights ahead that actually make sense, in terms of competition. What do you guys think about the fights above? Any other ones you could think of?

Alex Oliveira returns to face former Bellator champ Will Brooks. Brooks has not received the high level fights he may have expected once signing with the UFC but that hasn't stopped him from applying for short-notice fights whenever possible. Oliveira fights at LW for the first time in his UFC career and looks to use his KO power against an opponent who's only loss is via KO.

Good post.

I got Linekar in second, moose by decision or late exhausted finish and OSP with a finish ior careful decision.

As far as other fights I like Ferusom over RDA. Maybe even a finish. I thinks Tony is going up and RDA has to be top form to handle him.

Edit: is rather just admit I'm drunk than deal it's fucking iPhone typing.

Good stuff. While we have been overwhelmed (with good reason) today regarding the MSG card, some great fights are almost upon us. Lets all rejoice in blown wads and likes pouring down from the heavens like sausages.

Good post, but I'm actually picking Dodson and Mousasi. I agree with you on the OSP vs. Manuwa matchup though.

Yeah man UFC 205 crowd was terrible trust me that's not all of New York anyway lol yeah good picks as anticipated fights I'm looking forward to Alexa grassos debut she is a prospect I'm interested in and can help female mma grow in Mexico and stuff she can be marketable and has the potential to be future champ I'm looking forward to the Diego Sanchez vs Marcin held The heel hook specialist

Vs a tough vet in Diego

Also wanna see how bj performs against lamas will it be time to call it quits? Also rda vs Ferguson may be a dog fight between to pitbulls In a cage fighting for a bone

Woodley v. Thompson makes sense.

I'm not a fan of either.

I'm picking Woodley via lots of tds and ground n pound.

I am looking forward to Dodson and Linaker more then any fight in a while. It's a really interesting match up but it either going to be fireworks or Dodson making it a snoozer by not engaging. Thanks for making this thread.

Even after all the 205 hype today, El Cucuy-RDA is the fight I'm looking forward to the most this year.
Whittaker-Brunson should be a good one too; hoping Whittaker can make that next jump and be the next guy for the MW division.

Nice, Oliveira is a really strong guy, but the hole in his game is the ground game for sure. Do you think Brooks will play it safe and take him down early? If so, can cowboy stop Brooks takedowns?

lol... Yeah, Ferguson is elite as they come and RDA needs no introduction. But RDA is a legit bjj, he won´t get caught with Ferguson´s anaconda choke, unless he´s hurt on the feet. So in your opinion, can Tony handle RDA´s infinite gas tank on the feet for 5 rounds?

Dodson is very talented and he obviously knows that trying to take Lineker to a decision would be nuts, so he needs to stop him.... In your opinion, what kind of strategy should Dodson use to stop that KO monster coming forward? lol

a thread about mma fights? what year is this?

mods please wasteland this so we can talk more about what Conor said or what Conor is wearing, and who he is hanging out with and shit.

pfff, talking about fights in the heavies. shame!

:p

I know we´ve heard this story many times lol, but do you think there´s still time for bj Penn to make a career comeback if he´s motivated?

Do you think Tony´s crazy boxing can handle RDA´s gas tank and muay thai on the feet for 5 rounds? IMO, on the ground I don´t think Tony can get him with that anaconda choke, RDA is superior than him, he´s not at Maia's level of course but he´s a legit bjj black belt. Or do you think RDA could use his superior wrestling and take Tony down to gnp him?

I almost cried when i saw people coming in...it was a big relief to know i wasn´t alone here... lol

Yeah, that is a good one too... How do you see Woodley getting past that kicking horse? We saw Wonderboy go 5 rounds just fine in his last fight, and Woodley has had problems with gas before. So you think he will get that takedown eventually and finish Wonderboy via gnp at some point?

Conor knocks out Eddie with dat left hand shot in the first round and has completed phase two of becoming the UFC's first and only three-belt champion.

You're so edgy bro. You like, are really into fights the non casuals aren't talking about. You must watch a lot of MMA bro, the casuals ain't on your level bro.

I dont think anyone can handle RDA. Eddie pulled out a miracle. Even then, RDA ate 200 bombs and didn't drop once. Part of me feels that if the ref let it go on, RDA would have recovered for the 2nd round, and Eddie would have been gassed.

You just got to imagine, what do you have to do to take out RDA. I dont think it can be done. Can't really beat him on the feet, not gonna out grapple him (not even Khabib post-injuries imo).

Scary man. What Eddie accomplished was marvelous.

I fully expect RDA to go back to steam-rolling opponents though. His leg kick -> punch combo is the sickest i've ever seen in MMA. EVER.

PS - RDA VS Khabib 2 is one that I'm really hoping to see.
