I think they should, for a couple of reasons.
The UFC has way too many fighters, not sure exactly how many fighters the UFC has (I've heard somewhere around 600), how many of these are actually elite ?
Events are way too long, the problem with having so many fighters is that they have to give them fights, this means 6 hour long events, it's way too much, and lately they've been putting fights that should be on the main card on the prelims to try and get people to watch the prelims, and putting fights that should be on the prelims on the main card, this dilutes main cards. They should get rid of prelims completely and just have a main card, for PPV and Fight Night events.
Instead of prelims they should revive the WEC as a B-league have weekly tv cards to showcase up and coming fighters and older fighters who can't hang with the elite anymore.
